I can relate! When I fell off my bike last year I had a large hematoma that was really swollen, I nicknamed it the "alien water balloon"---do you have one of those? Mine eventually went well but it did take time--I was able to bike and swim after a couple of weeks but I couldn't run for nearly two months =(.
