Laying low...

It's a week and a half until the Ironman. I've kind of been laying low. Taper is in full effect. I'm getting nervous and excited and all that stuff. Third time isn't easier than the first two, but it's different. I know what to expect (kind of), but the emotions are still there. I guess that's a given with an event this big.

Here's an awesome video which I feel is EXACTLY how every conversation goes that I have with someone who hears I'm doing an Ironman. Enjoy...

Hilarious. Dad and I laughed. You are crazy..you are crazy..you are crazy. We don't think you are. We think're you're both amazing! Can't wait to be in Louisville with you and experience your day. We love you both.

Excellent! Keep up the low laying (?) and just think--all IM vets say it takes about 3 to really nail it, so you should be able to rock it!

I seriously just laughed so hard at the "movie" a few coworkers asked me if I was OK

That was pretty funny! :) I know I'm not even CLOSE to being an Ironman but even I get questions like then when I tell people about your races. :)

Hi! I saw your post on tridiesel and wondered if you were doing IM Louisville too since you mentioned being a week and a half out from an IM. I'm racing it too - I'm so jealous you got to ride the course! I had no idea about the organized bike/swims... good to know for the future though.

The video is awesome and I was laughing out loud. I think you nailed all the typical non-athlete comments/questions.

GOOD LUCK in Louisville!!

LOVE the video, my husband and I watched it 3 times, it gets funnier every time. I am not training for an ironman but I can still relate!
