Three things thursday

I've never participated in three things Thursday (does that count as one thing?). :)

  1. I swam today.  It was glorious.  I'm enjoying swimming (**gasp I know!  Who am I and what is the Carole lady doing to me?**).  I was all alone in the pool.  I had my music blaring, listening to everything from Sugarland and Adele to Kid Rock and Kanye.  I caught myself starting to sing but quickly remembered I was underwater.  My arms are killing me, my legs are tired.  And when I thought that finally all was right in the world, realized that I was supposed to run today and swim tomorrow.  Oye ve!
  2. I talked to four different people today from two different insurance companies and all four said to me "I bet you are up to your ears in boxes getting ready for the move?".  Right.  About that.  I haven't started packing.  Anything.  I did buy some boxes.  And 300 feet of bubble wrap showed up today on my front porch. And I hired the moving people.  But the packing?  I should probably get one that.  Tomorrow.
  3. I'm seriously thinking of opening a Noodles and Company in Georgia.  Right now, this is about the only thing that I think Georgia is missing.  If you haven't eaten there, you seriously are missing out.  Best Macaroni and Cheese ever (better than the blue box Heather!) and their Japanese Pan Noodles are to die for.  Then again, maybe this is why I'm not losing weight.  Something to ponder I suppose.

OMG I had totally forgotten about Noodles and co!!! Thanks. Now I want it and we don't have one either...

First of all, what do you use to listen to music while you swim? I need it...that's for sure!

Secondly, Jenn and I are HUGE fans of Noodles. We took Kevin and Jennie Neumann to one in Grand Rapids for their first experience. My favorite is the mac and cheese or even just the plain Buttered Noodles. Yummy!

Good luck with the packing!

P.S. I love reading your blog! :)

BLASPHEMY!!! There is NOTHING better tasting than the blue box.

Nothing.....unless you mix a can of tuna fish into it (thanks mom!) THEN you can ruin it.

Oh, swimming...love it. Glad you had a great swim. Do you have a h20 audio interval? Music while swimming is so awesome!

Packing, no fun...but moving to a house you love, the best.

Sorry, but I'm with Jon on Team Blue Box.

Does this mean that you were able to work things out with the most recent house???

Oh, and what are you using for your tunes in the water? I am thinking I need something to make my long swims less boring but most of the ones I have seen require an iPod shuffle which is about the only iDevice I don't already have.

Is it possible that Coach Sharpie is turning us into swimmers? I loved my workout this week, too! Eeeek! Noodles and Company is one of our favorite family spots. Definitely the best mac n cheese ever!

Better than the Blue Box...I don't believe it!?!?!? When you open up your Noodle place in GA I will have to make a personal visit and test it out myself!

Yay for awesome swim days and I agree that packing is WAY overrated! Popping bubble wrap though...now that is fun!

I've never eaten at a Noodles and Co. .. hmm.. just googled and they have some in Austin. Might have to try it out when I'm down there next week.

I'm with Heather.. when in doubt, pop the bubble wrap! :)

Don't even no what a Noodles and Co is? I feel like all left out and stuff!

Ummmm, is it cool to lie on your blog? Because I have a feeling that saying anything in life is better than that magical blue box is just a pure outright lie. Just saying ;)

I HATE PACKING! however, I HATE MOVING even more!!! I lived in 4 or 5 houses growing up... moved A LOT. HATE IT!

When I move now, we order a dumpster, have it set in our driveway (preferably near a window) and I fill it up.

Bubble wrap? Do you know how much fun I would have sitting there popping bubbles instead of packing??? I would be in heaven, seriously.

Oh yeah, swimming still sucks, trust me :)

It always feels good to get back in the pool. You'll get settled in the ATL soon enough. Well, really I guess it can't happen soon enough but I promise it will! Hang in there.

Moving sucks, but then you'll be HERE!!!! Can't wait!

I have been loving the water myself. I am actually considering going and doing 1000y today on my rest day because I have been enjoying it so much.

Moving sucks....period. No matter how organized you are it wears you the f out and you get gnarly and it's just not a good look for me.

ACK! for singing while swimming!! : )

never had Noodles & Company, but I can now say I've had your other fave, Chick-Fil-A!

packing/moving hands down is the worst thing ever. absolutely horrible. have the movers do it for you?! or have some friends over, get some wine, and pack?!

Noodles and company! Yesssss!

Packing...ugh...I think next time we move we are going to hire movers, I just can't do it again and now that it will be an ENTIRE house, I cannot imagine. An apt sure...a house...not so much. however, I do like the comment above me about having friends over opening wine (or beer) and having a packing party--I'd totally go to a packing party =).

Yay swimming! Do you have a waterproof headset? I got one for Christmas and haven't used it yet since I've been swimming with a friend who is pregnant and feel like I need to be alert in case she needs me for something. I've been dying to try it out though. I can see for fast sets it working wonders.

What music thingers (yeah I know, I'm SO technical) do you use in the pool? and yes, you should start packing. :-) I feel sad that I don't know what a Noodles and Company is either.
